Dental Excellence for All the Family

Every smile is important to us.

From the youngest member of your family to the oldest, dental concerns exist at every stage of life. We’re here to help you and your family maintain the best standard of dental health by providing you with exceptional care.

Our friendly team works hard to help everyone feel at ease. Whether helping a very young child with their first appointment, a teenager, or an adult, we’re keen to educate and preserve the health of teeth and gums both in the short term—and for life.

A lifetime of good oral health starts at birth, and we’re here to support you as you help your children first learn how to care for their teeth. We believe that prevention is always better than cure. With this in mind, our care is centred on helping you create healthy habits to keep your teeth looking great.

Preventative Dental Checkups

Caring for your smile means maintaining good oral hygiene, enjoying a healthy lifestyle, and visiting us regularly for a checkup.

Although you may not feel any pain or discomfort in your teeth or gums now, that’s not to say that you won’t in the future. With a routine checkup, we can spot the early warning signs of dental problems, while they’re still reversible—before the unwelcome toothache.

Once tooth decay creates a cavity, all we can do is repair it. The damaged enamel won’t grow back. However, if we spot an area of your tooth where decay could soon strike, we can help you stop the damage while strengthening your teeth.

Dental checkups are one of the best ways to defend against cavities, gum disease, and a range of other health concerns, including oral cancer. If you’ve previously received treatment or experienced changes in your dentition, we can monitor these during a routine appointment to ensure your teeth and gums are as healthy as possible.

What to Expect at Your Dental Checkup

During your routine visit to Hale Dental, you can expect us to ask you a few questions about your dental and general health. This is an opportunity to let us know if there have been any changes or if you have any worries about your oral health.

We’ll physically examine your teeth individually. During this visual inspection, we’ll look for early signs of decay, such as weakened enamel. Your gum health is also important, so we’ll also look for indications of gingivitis.

We may take x-rays of your teeth and jaws. This helps us get a clearer picture of your oral health and helps us spot any reduction in bone mass.

If we see any issues, we’ll discuss them with you and provide you with all the facts and cost so you can make an informed treatment decision.

Treating Tooth Decay and Gum Disease

When decay and gum disease strike, you may feel inclined to ignore any dental discomfort in the hope it will go away. Toothache and sore or bleeding gums are signs that you need treatment. Without intervention, your dental issues could get worse.

If you have a cavity, we recommend treatment as soon as possible. Typically, this will involve placing a filling into the affected area of the tooth to repair the damage and prevent infection.

Fillings are a quick and simple procedure. Before placing your filling, we’ll give you a local anaesthetic to help numb around the treatment site. We often use tooth-coloured fillings in visible areas of your smile.

What Patients Say

It’s totally worth it!

After an accident, poor repair work with bridges left Phil facing difficulties with speech and low on confidence. So how does he rate implants from the Hale Dental team? He says they’re better than the real thing!

Just go for it!

Guy discovered Hale Dental following a recommendation from his dentist. He says implants from Hale Dental have restored his confidence and put a spring back in his step. And the procedure turned out to be much more comfortable than expected.

Can’t help but smile!

Years of dental neglect left Adrienne’s teeth in a poor state, but she didn’t like the idea of living with dentures. She says implants from Hale Dental were worth every penny—and meeting Dr Richard Brookshaw definitely made an impression!

Our 5* Reviews

“Very professional team & service, hygiene 10+ Very welcoming, very efficient and would highly recommend. Thanks to all of you 😊”
Shirley Crompton
“Being terrified of dental treatment I can’t say that I was excited at what was to come but, I can wholeheartedly say that Richard and his team made the whole experience calm, friendly, professional and pain free. I felt looked after and had no issues trusting their judgement. I’m very happy with the results and treatment received.”
Laura Duggan
“Once I had made my decision to have a large tooth from the back of my mouth removed (after speaking to 2 consultants at the practice to get all the options clear in my mind), my appointment was quickly made and even though I was quite nervous Richard was so kind and patient with me. It was quite a difficult extraction (but absolutely no pain) and I expected to be sore and swollen the next day – but to my surprise all was fine. I can highly recommend Hale Dental and especially Richard.”
Wendy Derbyshire
“I had reached 61 years of age and never had my teeth received the priority they required. Work, children and wider family had always come first. As a result I presented Jonathan Crockett with quite a mess to fix which he and his assistants then set about methodically. It required lots of new and replacement crowns, one extraction and an implant. And now I have no discomfort and a nice white smile. I happily recommend Jonathan Crockett both for his expertise and gentle good humour. And let’s not forget Diane Hunter, the dental hygienist, who is wonderful beyond measure.”

Maria Hooper
“Over the course of the previous 3 months, I’ve been undergoing cosmetic treatment at Hale Dental Clinic. I must say it has been the most pleasant time; watching as my uneven, slightly yellowed teeth have transformed in to an unrecognisable, unbowed, white smile that I never thought I’d have. The treatment was performed by the delightful Sophie Parker. Sophie is a master of the field, who has not only provided me with stellar results, but also with a genuinely friendly, amazing, personal service. Thank you so much again Sophie and Hale Dental clinic. If and when I require further treatment, you are the only place on my list.”
Matthew Whiteside
“I am extremely nervous of dentists after a bad experience. All the staff here have been fantastic and after a years worth of dental work I am more than pleased with the results, pain free and have lost that extreme dread and fear that I used to feel at the dentist. Very caring reception staff 👍👍👍”
